Tottenham Hotspur's Champions League run in 2019 took them all the way to the final and was filled with spectacular nights that will live long in the memory of Spurs fans.
The quarter final tie against Manchester City was a Champions League classic. Spurs won the opening home leg 1-0. The second leg was a 7 goal thriller. Latecomers were still taking their seats as the score read 2-2 after only 11 minutes played. Goals from Sterling and Silva were matched by a brace from Son. City wrestled control with Sterling scoring a second after 21 minutes to leave the tie finely poised. A second half goal by Aguero gave City a 4-3 aggregate lead but Spurs were not done. In the 75th minute Fernando Llorente bundled the ball into the net from a corner and swung the aggregate score back in Spurs favour. For the final 15 minute the pressure from City was relentless as Spurs desperately defended their away goal advantage. In the 4th minute of injury time Sterling found the net in the final attack of the tie and celebrated a match winning hat trick but VAR was called to check and it was ruled out for an offside against Aguero. The emotions in the Etihad ran high as Spurs celebrated a famous win over the Premier League Champions that had only a moment before looked like defeat.
Bring on the semi final against Ajax. Once Spurs had a home opening leg but this time they lost 0-1 with Donny Van der Beek scoring the only goal of the night for Erik Ten Hag's Ajax side. Spur went to Holland needing a victory to progress to the final. It did not start the way they planned. Ajax captain Matthijs de Ligt scoredwith his head after only 5 minutes doubling their lead. Spurs had chances in the first half but Ajax keeper Andre Onana was equal to them. When Hakim Ziyech scored a second for Ajax on 35 minutes with a beautifully struck left footed curling shot, the tie looked well and truly over.
Mauricio Pochettino and Spurs had other ideas. The second half would go down as one of the greatest come backs in Champions League history. After 55 minutes Lucas Moura broke through the Ajax defence and slotted home to give Spurs fans hope. 4 minutes later Onana made a close range save from Llorente and tried to smother the ball but it popped out to Moura who took control with his back to goal, twisted away from the defenders and smashed it home. The tie was truly alive. Exhilarating end to end football saw chance after chance. Ziyech came agonisingly close to putting the tie out of reach with a side footed shot and then went even closer with a rocket strike that pinged off the post. In the 85th minute Llorente headed on to the bar. Ajax clung on to their 3-2 lead. In the final minute of injury time Dele Alli fed a pass to Moura in the penalty box. He struck unerring through the defender's legs and past Onana for his match winning hat trick.
Unfortunately for Spurs their first ever Champions League final did not go their way against Premier League rivals Liverpool. What a shame for them it wasn't played over 2 legs!
The Finished Product
Each Sporting Moment is designed by hand with pen and paper. The image is turned into a digital file for cutting by CNC machine using a 9mm high density fibre board which is black throughout and specially designed for finely detailed cutting work.
I make three sizes of sculpture - 60cm, 75cm and 90cm as measured by the longest side. Some of the sculptures are only available in the larger sizes due to the intricacy of the design.
Packaging
Each sculpture is ergonomically packaged in its own wooden surround to arrive in perfect condition. Opening your package is simple; remove outer card board and use a palette knife to slide between the wood layers and pop open the staples.
Hanging
Hanging your sculpture is very simple. They are designed to rest on two picture nails provided. Hold the sculpture in place and use a pencil to mark where you want to put the nails, near the top towards the left and right.

Your artwork is made to order so please allow 10-14 days for
production and delivery.

Can I get a supersized sculpture for my office?
Yes you can! Giant version of all designs can be made in any size to fit your wall. They will arrive in sections and be installed by us. Please get in touch with your requirements for a quote.
What is the maximum size of the sculpture?
Our ready to order sculptures are available in three sizes: 60cm, 75cm and 90cm on the longest side and 9mm thick. Some of the designs are only available in the larger sizes. This is to avoid detail being lost during cutting.
Can I choose the colour of the sculpture?
Currently only available in black.
Is the sculpture fragile?
The sculptures are made from high density fibre board, which is strong and durable. However, they are still susceptible to damage if handled roughly, so it is important to hold them with carefully with two hands when unpacking and hanging.
How do I install the sculpture on my wall?
Installation is simple: Two nails are included in the packaging. Hold the sculpture up to the wall. Mark with a pencil where you want the nails, one on each side towards the top. Hammer in the nails leaving a cm sticking out and hang the sculpture.
Is the packaging environmentally friendly?
The packaging uses the waste from the cutting process to protect the sculpture, and is then sandwiched between two thin mdf boards and wrapped in cardboard. The packaging is plastic free and the mdf boards are made from recycled wood shavings so there is no need to cut down any new trees to make the material. We recommend to keep the packaging as it's the safest way to transport your sculpture should you ever need to move it.
Will I have to pay customs duty?
Orders outside the UK may be subject to customs or duty charges in accordance to the regulations of the destination country or state.
Can I use one of your designs for a tattoo?
