In India the top cricketers are among the nation's biggest celebrities. None more so in modern times than India test captain Virat Kohli. An exceptional batsman across all 3 formats of the game. Revered throughout the world of white ball cricket, he holds the record for the most T20 International runs at 4008 coming at an unparalleled average of 52.7. He reached 13,000 ODI runs in his 267th innings - 44 innings less than Tendulkar.
Yet it is his phenomenal test match career on which his legend is rooted. With 29 test centuries and a top score of 254*, there are so many memorable Kohli moments to take inspiration from.
Although he didn't end up on the winning side, I've selected Kohli's 149 against England at Edgbaston as an example of his determination and ability to drag his side through difficult times. England set a first innings total of 287 and India's reply of 274 was totally dominated by Kohli's century with opener Shikhar Darwan the second highest scorer on 26. Kohli was dropped by Dawid Malan on 21 and 51 but kept a cool head and made England pay for the fielding errors. The game looked in the balance as England were bowled out for 180 in their second innings leaving India a 4th innings chase of 194 to win . Kohli made a fine 51 but once again his team mates could not stay with him as England won by 32 runs. Kohli scored 593 runs in the 5 match series but England were the stronger side winning the series 4-1.
The Finished Product
Each Sporting Moment is designed by hand with pen and paper. The image is turned into a digital file for cutting by CNC machine using a 9mm high density fibre board which is black throughout and specially designed for finely detailed cutting work.
I make three sizes of sculpture - 60cm, 75cm and 90cm as measured by the longest side. Some of the sculptures are only available in the larger sizes due to the intricacy of the design.
Packaging
Each sculpture is ergonomically packaged in its own wooden surround to arrive in perfect condition. Opening your package is simple; remove outer card board and use a palette knife to slide between the wood layers and pop open the staples.
Hanging
Hanging your sculpture is very simple. They are designed to rest on two picture nails provided. Hold the sculpture in place and use a pencil to mark where you want to put the nails, near the top towards the left and right.

Your artwork is made to order so please allow 10-14 days for
production and delivery.

EU Delivery can take 10-21 days for delivery from the date of dispatch.
US & Rest of World can take 14-28 days for delivery from the date of dispatch.

Can I get a supersized sculpture for my office?
Yes you can! Giant version of all designs can be made in any size to fit your wall. They will arrive in sections and be installed by us. Please get in touch with your requirements for a quote.
What is the maximum size of the sculpture?
Our ready to order sculptures are available in three sizes: 60cm, 75cm and 90cm on the longest side and 9mm thick. Some of the designs are only available in the larger sizes. This is to avoid detail being lost during cutting.
Can I choose the colour of the sculpture?
Currently only available in black.
Is the sculpture fragile?
The sculptures are made from high density fibre board, which is strong and durable. However, they are still susceptible to damage if handled roughly, so it is important to hold them with carefully with two hands when unpacking and hanging.
How do I install the sculpture on my wall?
Installation is simple: Two nails are included in the packaging. Hold the sculpture up to the wall. Mark with a pencil where you want the nails, one on each side towards the top. Hammer in the nails leaving a cm sticking out and hang the sculpture.
Is the packaging environmentally friendly?
The packaging uses the waste from the cutting process to protect the sculpture, and is then sandwiched between two thin mdf boards and wrapped in cardboard. The packaging is plastic free and the mdf boards are made from recycled wood shavings so there is no need to cut down any new trees to make the material. We recommend to keep the packaging as it's the safest way to transport your sculpture should you ever need to move it.
Will I have to pay customs duty?
Orders outside the UK may be subject to customs or duty charges in accordance to the regulations of the destination country or state.
Can I use one of your designs for a tattoo?
